OBVIOUSLY NOT, because they're here on the WORLD-WIDE ELECTRIC, DIGINAL INTERNETS!. Like, "Totally Cool, Huh?" After forming in the early 1990s in Marin County, California, "THE GEEZERS!" perform regularly in Honolulu, Hawaii. They specialize in the Classic Country sound, with songs made popular by Hank Williams, Sr. (there's only one Hank Williams), Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Porter Wagoner, Kitty Wells, Patsy Cline, Bill Monroe, Jim Reeves and others. YOU get the idea. In 1997, the band opened for Country Legend Merle Haggard at Maritime Hall in San Francisco, and played at a number of venues in the San Francisco Bay Area -- Peri's Music Bar and 19 Broadway in Fairfax, New George's in San Rafael, Ace Cafe, San Francisco Airport(thanks to Haight Ashbury Music Center for the acoustic/electric bass for Geezer Tim), Mission Rock Resort in San Francisco, DeMarco's 23 Club in Brisbane, Golden Gate Fields in Albany, and many more. Since moving to Hawaii in 1997, the Band has performed at Hank's Cafe Honolulu, Arnold's Beach Bar and Grill, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Ala Moana Center Stage, Windward Mall, the Perry & Price KSSK Saturday Morning Radio Show, Nashville Waikiki, Pohai Nani, One Kalakaua, Pink Cadillac, Miramar Hotel, O'Toole's, Kemoo Farms Pub, Snapper's Sports Pub, Bedroq Bar and Grill and many more. The Band also performs at private functions, such as weddings, luau and birthday parties.

In the mid 1990s, the band released its first CD, entitled "HALF A HOOT". Re-released in 2005, it’s comprised of mainly "Cover Tunes", it also contains 2 original songs by bandleader Don Humphrey; a new composition added to the original songs; “Here’s to the Heroes”, as well as "Leavin', Yes She's Leavin'". The other offerings are "Lilly Dale", "A Wound Time Can't Erase", "Hey, Joe", "What Have You Got That Makes Me Hang Around", "Black Rose", "Orange Blossom Special/Jackson", "Roll In My Sweet Baby's Arms", "Steel Guitar Rag", "Blues, Stay Away From Me", "Right or Wrong", "Out Behind the Barn", "Back Up and Push", "I Overlooked An Orchid" and "Jambalaya". "HALF A HOOT" is available only by mail order for only $15.00 U.S., including Priority Mail Shipping in the U.S.A. Email for ordering and payment information. It's a "Country Nautical Experience -- Not A Whole Lot of Clams, Not a Pearl in Every Oyster, But a Whole Shipload of Great Stuff!". 16 Tunes, 10 Great Ones, You Pick 'Em!

Coming soon is their newest CD, entitled "Geezers in Paradise". It's all original tunes, half written by Lee Carney and half written by Don Humphrey and, we feel, destined to be a necessary addition to any complete collection of "Classic Country Music". Don is proud to play and endorse these fine instruments. For about 30 years, he's been playing a DY77 and a DY90. Both are highly recommended.

Home of the Grand Ole Opry. GREAT REAL COUNTRY MUSIC live and archived. Can't say enough good things about this site. They carry the Opry Live on Tuesday and Friday evenings, and "The Grand Ole Opry" every Saturday night. It's the longest continuing radio program on the planet. We especially love the evening (Central Time) programs hosted by "The Encyclopedia of Country Music", Eddie Stubbs. Different themes nightly, and Fridays after the Opry he takes requests from all around the world. Check it out!
